PSIA-C Mini Academy @ Perfect North Slopes

The passion for the sport is unreal in the Midwest. I skied with 12 people all of whom worked at Perfect North Slopes, except for one. Perfect North Slopes is awesome. They have a couple of different trails and some actual steep runs. Their vertical is about 400 feet. We did lots of laps.

What I loved about this place was their willingness to try things with me and spend lap upon lap doing things. For example, we spent a morning on one of their beginner areas and worked on hockey stops, hockey “go-s”, and short turns. It was great to see everyone’s engagement. It was like I couldn’t stop them.

I also got to night ski and skied until about 10 pm. That’s right, was in my boots for over 12 hours that day. It felt like being right back at Interski.

The Midwest people are so appreciative of me coming out there. They do have great resources out there and they are hearty. They will ski in the rain, the fog, really any type of condition. If the lifts are spinning, they are skiing.

The other impressive thing about Perfect North Slopes was how easy it was to access it. I flew into Cinncinati Airport which is actually in Kentucky. Then I drove about 20 minutes into Indiana. I was about 12 minutes away from the ski area! That blew my mind a bit. I am used to driving a couple hours to get to a resort.
